Working Title: Hell's Coil
Genre: Paranormal Thriller / Psychological Thriller / Horror
The Concept: With one phone call in the middle of the night, you will never again worry about a wrong number.
A seemingly random call from a friend may seem harmless. Discovering that conversation occurred after his death is the instant you enter the coil.
What would you do to help that friend, even after he had died? When every decision winds you deeper into a mystery, reality falls beyond the margins of sanity. Death is not the final chapter when an unknown someone keeps you in a story.
The History: One phone call in the middle of the night did truly inspire this novel. During a time when I was living my own ghost story in an old adobe home in New Mexico, that call from a friend did not seem entirely harmless. A few weeks later, I learned of his memorial service. The cryptic nature of that phone call and some unusual events surrounding his death started a million "what ifs" that culminated with, "What if he was already dead when I got that call?" Though I eventually discovered my call had occurred two nights prior to his death, the sadness and shock surrounding what had happened became the foundation of this story.
